Philippine-specific tips for this role

• ▸ Many candidates say 'Pasensya na po, nalito ako sa oras,' then over-apologize without offering a fix. Instead, say: 'I initially miscalculated the time, but I've now set up a world clock and will double-confirm all meeting times in both zones moving forward.'
• ▸ Saying 'Wait lang po, I will update you later' leaves the client uninformed. Instead, say: 'I'll send a detailed summary before I log off so everything is ready for your morning.'
• ▸ Filipino VAs sometimes say 'Sige po, I will just compute the time difference,' leading to mental math errors. Instead, say: 'I'll send you an invite with the time in both zones and use a converter tool to double-check, so we never miss a meeting.'
• ▸ A common defensive reaction is 'Kasi po I thought it was US time, sorry po talaga.' Instead, own it clearly: 'I should have clarified. Here's what I've put in place so this won't happen again.'
• ▸ Some candidates just say 'Yes I know Trello, I use it for to-do lists.' That shows surface use. Instead, walk through a real configuration: 'I set up automation so when a card moved to Review, the editor got tagged.' 'Nag-aadd lang ako ng cards' doesn't demonstrate depth.

Saying 'May experience ako sa Salesforce, HubSpot, saka Zoho' gets a nod, but if you can't explain one automation you built, it may sound padded. Instead, describe one concrete change: 'In HubSpot, I set a workflow that auto-assigned new leads from Facebook Ads to the right agent.'
• ▸ Saying 'I'm a fast learner, I can pick up any software in a few days' is too vague. Instead, give a step-by-step example of how you self-taught: 'Nag-search ako sa knowledge base nila tapos gumawa ako ng cheat sheet.' Always pair claims with an action plan.
• ▸ Some candidates say 'I'll just move everything on Saturday and it'll be ready by Monday.' That ignores user training and data mapping. Instead, describe a phased plan with real steps. 'Gagawa lang ako ng bagong account tapos lipat lahat' shows a lack of strategic thinking.
• ▸ Many Filipino candidates say, 'I just don't open suspicious emails and I update my antivirus. Yun lang naman and okay na.' That sounds too casual and misses the technical depth employers expect. A stronger answer would list concrete tools like a password manager, two-factor authentication, and file encryption, proving you follow modern security practices, not just common-sense caution.
