I had to ensure every contract included the correct event date, venue, package price, and cancellation terms, because a single typo could cause a costly dispute. The manager gave me 20 contracts to proofread within one afternoon.

Action

I created a checklist of every required field and ticked them off one by one for each contract. I read the documents aloud to catch missing words that the eye might skip. I cross-referenced the clients' booking forms against the final contracts, noticing that one client's event time was listed as 6 PM instead of the correct 4 PM. I corrected the error, flagged it for the manager, and double-checked all other time entries before filing.

Result

All 20 contracts were delivered error-free, and the client with the time discrepancy thanked us for catching it early, saying it would have ruined their wedding schedule. The company adopted my checklist as part of their standard procedure.
