Interviewers for Customer Service Representative roles at Foundever typically test across 2 areas:
BehavioralCommunication
Philippine-specific tips for this role
- ▸ Many Filipino candidates give a textbook definition like 'Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is watching' without a personal story. Others over-apologize: 'Sorry po, ah, for me it's like...' which breaks the professional flow. Also, some might accidentally mix Taglish words like 'hindi ako kumukuha ng confidential na bagay' thinking it sounds sincere, but it weakens the English proficiency impression.
- ▸ Candidates often try to sound invincible: 'Hindi ako nastress, ma'am, sanay na ako.' Or they give a generic 'I just stay positive' with no method. Be careful not to over-share TMI like 'Nag-breakdown ako, umiyak ako sa CR' thinking it shows authenticity. Also, if you've never worked graveyard shifts, mentioning that while sounding unsure can hurt you, because BPO is often 24/7. Say you're willing to learn any shift's rhythm.
- ▸ Interviewees often say 'I'm a 10 po, ma'am, kasi mahilig po ako tumulong' without specifics. They also over-explain their number without a real example, or use clichés like 'customer is always right.' A common trap is saying 10/10 but then not being able to describe a single moment of sacrifice or effort. Also, avoid saying you're passionate just because 'mabait talaga ako.'
- ▸ New grads sometimes say 'I'll just Google it' or 'I'll ask my teammates' without showing personal initiative. Others over-apologize future mistakes: 'Pasensya na po kung mabagal ako, mag-aadjust lang.' Also, saying 'I learn fast' with no proof or system is a red flag. Don't forget that in BPO, shift differentials mean you might be learning while your trainer is on a different schedule, so self-study habits matter.
- ▸ Many aspirants jump to 'Let me transfer you' or 'That's not my department' too fast, which makes callers angrier. Others over-apologize with a submissive tone: 'Sorry na sorry po talaga, sir, sige po, gagawin po natin lahat' which sounds scripted. A big mistake is also failing to confirm the solution after explaining it. Also, avoid saying 'Calm down po' which always backfires.
